First Grade The primary focus of first grade is building a strong language arts and math skills foundation for future learning. Hands-on activities are utilized whenever possible. Worksheets and workbooks compliment the curriculum with opportunity to practice and master education skills. Students grow in their knowledge and faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior through daily devotion and prayer times and weekly chapel.
Julie Steinborn is the first grade teacher and has been teaching at CCLS for over 15 years. She has a B.A. in Elementary Education and is a graduate of Concordia University - Ann Arbor, MI. |
